Empties #1

Hello there guys, as a beauty blogger I am always purchasing new beauty products in the hope of becoming beautiful i guess and recently i realised the mass of products I have actually collected and so I went on a mission to finish some of my products and here is the outcome.
I will continue trying to use up products and I will keep you updated on my thoughts and feelings towards them and whether I would repurchase them.
Sanctuary Body Scrub - I bought this product on a bit of a whim and I regretted it as soon as I tried it. First of all the smell is so artificial and strong it actually makes me feel a bit sick in the shower. The other problem with this is that it has the tiniest beads and there are hardly any of them in the liquid. This product does not exfoliate the skin and doesn't make my skin feel nice in the slightest. Definitely not impressed.

Boujours Healthy Mix Foundation - I do quite like this foundation and the colour range as i found the perfect match for my skin with this foundation and it gives a medium, but buildable coverage. The only problem is that it can be slightly flaky and drying around my dry patches. However i have already repurchased the serum version of this foundation and it's better suited for my skin type but if you have oilier skin then the original is for you.

Johnson's Face Wipes - I'm really not too fussy when it comes to face wipes and the only reason i bought this was because it was on offer and although they're nice make up wipes I wouldn't urge you to go out and buy them as they're just your bog standard face wipes.
Catastrophe cosmetic - This face mask from Lush is my favourite out of the ones I've tried so far. For one I love the smell and the affect is has on your skin afterwards. My skin always feels so soft and replenished when I've used this. The only bad thing is that the face masks from Lush don't last that long but apart from that I would defiantly repurchase.

Laugh with me Lee Lee Benefit Perfume - I got this perfume ages ago from my best friend a.k.a http://psycho-wolves.blogspot.co.uk/ for my birthday and let me tell you, she nailed it! I absaloutely adore this perfume and everything about it and to be honest I used it up quite quickly. I still haven't bought a new one but I feel a little indulgent shopping heading my way so you might see this in a haul sometime soon.

Burt's Bees Lip balm - Burt's Bees just get it right in my opinion. I've tried a few lip balm brands now and I always come back to my failthful Burt's Bees. I ripped all the labels on this one off just because I was bored i guess but nevertheless, this is one i will repurchase over and over again.
Cutex Ultra Cleansing nail polish remover - I always use Cutex nail polish remover but I always change which one I use for example, this time I used the ultra cleansing one and I don't really have any bad words to say about it to be honest. It's just your average nail polish remover and I will continue to use their nail polish remover in the future as I find other brands can be quite drying on your nails.

Soap and Glory's The Righteous Butter - This body butter really is lovely. The smell for a start is glorious just as any other Soap and Glory product would smell and the consistency is very rich and thick so it's perfect for really hydrating your elbows and knees but you can use it all over your body if you feel you really need some deep down moisture. I might repurchase this in the future as it's not the cheapest product on the market.

Soap and Glory's Thick & Fast Mascara - I got this free with a magazine i got a while back and now I understand why I got it free. For me this mascara does next to nothing with my lashes, it makes them blacker than they were but no lengthening or volumizing. It's a thumbs down for me for this mascara and I would definitely not pay the price Soap and Glory would retail it for.

I hope you all liked this Empties video and expect to see more in the future!

Top 5 Favourite Blushes!

I've always been a big fan of blush. With bronzer and highlighter i go through stages as to whether i like using them or not but blush has always been a staple for me to look vaguely normal. That little pop of colour that makes you look healthy and glowing really does make a difference on me so without further a do i will tell you my top favourite blushes.

I'm going to start off with my least favourite out of the five but by no means a bad blush. In fact I only purchased this blush a few days ago and it has already made it into the lucky selection which says a lot, right? This blush really is gorgeous and peachy and creamy and lovely. What nicer things could i say about a blush? Anyway, the formula of this blush is so creamy and it really does glide on to the skin. It really compliments my skin tone and i think i will be getting a lot more use out of this bad boy as the summer is approaching.
Please excuse the lovely bumps in this blush, the Real techniques stippling brush and the blush make a beautiful couple and it would be rude to split them up so i guess we have to deal with the consequences. As you can see from the picture it's a lovely natural colour whilst also adding a subtle pop of colour which i personally adore.
My fourth favourite blush is the Sleek blush in Suede. I remember buying this blush and getting home and just  sitting there in awe of this blush. I don't have anything like it because it's a slightly dark orangy/tan colour that could look very bad if applied in the wrong way. However a light hand and a fluffy brush along with this blush gives you great looking cheeks!
This blush was quite cheap and i also think the packaging is quite cute although it's a nightmare to open especially when you have newly painted nail polish on. Let's just say it's not good! Despite the slightly annoying opening i have to admit that this blush is seriously gorgeous and a great bargain.
Next up is Topshop's blush in 'Head over Heels' now this blush was on my wish list for such a long time and everytime i went to a Topshop store they had always sold out but once i had given up hope and i went to Topshop and me and my friend saw and it was a beautiful moment and i have never looked back! Sorry about the over exaggerated moment but i thought it was necessary to create the right illusion. Now this blush is also very cheap but the colour on this blush really is extraordinary. It is the most pigmented blush i have ever tried and it glides onto the skin like a water plane gliding on water, no joke!
If you can get your hands on this i definitely would recommend getting it because both the formula and the colour of this blush are both great!
My second favourite blush in the Nars blush in 'Amour' and this is my first and only Nars product that i own and let me tell you am i impressed! It was a risky purchase for me as it is so expensive but i felt like indulging myself and the pigmentation on this blush is out of this world! I've never had anything so pigmented in my life and i literally have to tap my brush so lightly in the blush and it's enough to do both cheeks so i know this will last me a long long time!

It's a lovely rosey colour that gives you a lovely rosey glow and i wore this blush to death during spring and i think it's a blush that would compliment any skin colour.

And now the moment you've all been waiting for, or probably not but this is my favourite blush of all time! It's a Mac blush and it's in the colour 'springsheen' and this was one of my very first blushes that i EVER bought and still to this day i don't regret it in the slightest!

This blush is a pinky peachy blush with gold shimmer running through it and my oh my does this look fabulous! Putting this on your cheeks in the summer is amazing and i seriously adore this blush so much and i know for a fact that this blush will be very well used during summer and i may need to be repurchasing this blush in the future. It truly is perfect blush!

Maybelline Haul

Today, me and my friend went a little Maybelline crazy in Boots because of their 3 for 2 offer that we couldn't refuse. We both picked up three things and i'm going to share with you my purchases for the day.
For the past month I've been doing quite a few exams, therefore my exams have taken priority. However, I've now finished all my exams and i couldn't wait to get my hands on some new make up products I've been eyeing up for a while!
The first thing i knew i definitely wanted was their 10 hour tint gloss which is basically a lip stain in my books. Obviously i can't give a proper review as i only bought it today but I put it on my lips today around 1 o'clock and I've got to say it's still going strong at 7 o'clock now so i must admit i'm rather impressed!

I got it in the shade 160 - Forever Fuchsia, despite me testing every other colour there and debating for a while i came to the conclusion i needed to be brave for the summer.

It's a gorgeous deep fuchsia colour that stains the lips but without drying them out which i think is the real selling point for this product. I know i'm definitely going to be wearing this a lot this summer as i can apply it in the morning and i don't have to re-apply after every drink!
This was £6.99 which i didn't think was too bad considering the quality this product offers.

Then their dream matte powder started to catch my eye. I had been using the Natural Collection powder for some time now to get rid of the oily mess on my face and as much as it did the job at only £2 I still felt there were other powders out there longing for my love as sad as that sounds! I've decided to see what other powders are out there and compare them to my trusty natural collection powder and this was the first one on my list.

It comes in very sleek and lightweight packaging that would be easy to chuck in your bag to use during the day. When i swatched it in the shop i noticed that the consistency was much smoother than my previous powder so i'm very excited to see how this looks on the skin.

I got the lighter of the two shades in 02, Rose Ivory but to be honest i feel that these powders could be suitable for lots of skin tones as they seem to disappear onto the skin leaving only a matte finish.
It also comes with a mirror underneath the powder and a little applicator that i guess could come in handy when applying it on the go. However i doubt that i will use the little applicator very often as they can get a little unhygienic if you ask me.
This was £7.19 and the most expensive product i bought but i couldn't help myself as I've been eyeing this product for some time now and i thought it was about time to try it out.

Last but almost certainty not least, i picked up their dream touch blush on a whim last minute as i would have got it free from being the cheapest of the products.

The shade I bought was 02 - peach which is a bit different me as i normally stick to pink blushes so i went all out with this cream blush if you ask me. It's a very creamy product and i was very impressed with the initial consistency as it really does blend right away into your skin leaving a lovely sheen of colour of your skin.

This was £6.49 but i got it totally free, I can't argue with that!

These three products came to an amazing £14.19 which i was very pleased about considering how excited i am to try them and i would urge everyone who can get themselves to boots to go get your hands on some of the great deals they are currently offering, you wont be disappointed!

Mini Haul

So yesterday i went to the Trafford Centre for a couple of hours and i picked up some make up items that i'm going to share with you
First of all i went to Lush as i can't walk past there without being enticed by the smell and i picked up the Bubblegum Lip Scrub. I've been eyeing this lip scrub for a while now and i finally bought it and may i just say  how divine the smell is. If you're familiar with the Snow Fairy Shower gel then you'll know what this smells like.. heaven

It's a fluorescent colour and the best part is that once you've exfoliated your lips you can lick it off and it tastes as good as it smells. I can't wait to use this lip scrub more.

Next is the Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle. I have also been eyeing this product for a while now but i have never been able to justify spending £20 on a highlighter but i felt like treating myself yesterday and it will also last a very long time.
£4.45

The colour is absaloutely and it's such a versatile product as you can use it on your cheeks bones and as eye shadow and i can defiantly feel that i'm going to get my use out of this product
£21.50

Next is the Topshop blush in 'Head Over Heels' apparently they were discontinuing this product which i wasn't happy about seen as it's such a beautiful colour and i hadn't managed to get my hands on it anywhere and i was starting to lose hope in this product until yesterday when i just popped in to see if they had it and to my surprise they had one left well i grabbed it immediately and bought it

It's a beautiful light peachy colour and it's a cream blush but finishes to a power finish. It blends beautifully and i'm so glad i got this blush
£6

Finally i was just looking in Boots not really looking for anything inperticular when my friend showed me this Rimmel London Kate Moss lipstick on '03'

It's a pink/brown nude with no shimmers and it's very creamy. I would have never have really gone for something like this but i loved the colour it left my lips with and both of us bought one.
£4.45

NOTD

I was searching through all my nail varnishes last night wondering what to wear when i came across one that i hadn't worn in a long time and may i just say how much i have missed this nail polish. It's in the shade 'Angel Wings' by Collection 2000 and i absaloutely love this colour. Not only does it apply a nice opaque colour in two coats but i have never seen a colour quite like it before. It's a very light blue with hints of grey underneath which makes for a really beautiful and unique nail colour.

I can't wait to wear this colour more often and i can feel myself getting my money's worth out of this

And the great part is that it's only £3, i can't say enough good things about this nail polish

My Skin Care Routine

I'll start off by saying that i don't have very good skin, however this skin care routine definatly makes my skin a lot better than it would be without it
Every morning i will start off by using the Garnier deep foam wash, which is specifically made for people with problamatic skin like myself. I do love this cleanser in the morning not only to wake me up but to know that my skin is completely clean but i don't think it is as foaming as it claims to be. It lathers up slightly but not as much as i thought it would when i first bought it. However it's still an amazing product for me and it smells like cucumber!

After i thouroughly massage the product into my skin for about two minutes i rinse it off with cold water, splashing it onto my face and pat dry with a towel and instantly you can feel how clean your skin is.

It first comes out as a gel consistency but as soon as you add water and put it onto your face it starts to lather up.

I only use this next step twice a week. This product is the Benefit's 'Honey.. Snap out of it Scrub'. This scrub is amazing! Not only does it smell of marzipan but it can be used just as it for a really deep exfoliation or what i do is add water to it so it's more gentle for my sensitive skin.

This is the product when you first pump it out and as you can see it's quite a thick, creamy consistency

But as soon as you add water it lathers up and becomes more gentle. I don't think my skin would be anywhere near as good as it is now without this exfoliater. When i have massaged it into my face for a couple of minutes i wash it off with cold water and pat dry with a towel

After that i use the Lush's Tea Tree Water Toner on a cotton pad and at that onto my face so make sure all dirt has been removed from my face whilst also enriching my skin with tea tree.

After the toner and my skin has dried down a little i apply the Freederm Spot Gel on any spots or blemishes i have or in my case, quite a few and you can feel it drying out the spot instantly

After the spot gel has really sunk into my skin i finish off my routine by moisturizing with the Freederm moisturizer

It has a nice creamy consistency that really moisturizes your skin

My skin routine at night is almost the same process apart from the fact that i take off my make up with the Johnson's facial cleansing wipes so i get the majority of my make up off with them and the cleanser and toner just make sure I've got all of it off

Also insted of using my Freederm moisturizer i could the Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturizer for normal/combination skin

It is very creamy and moisturizing and is perfect to put on just before bed

Also i don't apply my exfoliater at night just in the morning twice a week
